IMPA 551067 – HOLD BARRIER Solution

DESCRIPTION
Hold Barrier protects the paint against corrosion and stains from dirty and
corrosive cargoes. It creates a thin film of wax that prevents cross
contamination between the cargo and the hold paint. In addition the Hold
Barrier makes the cleaning easier and requires less cleaning chemicals. Hold
Barrier is supplied as a concentrate in 25 liter pail and should be mixed with
fresh water before use. Hold Barrier should be applied to surfaces with an
ambient temperature between 1 – 40°C. If it is exposed to minus temperatures
during storage the emulsion may separate in the pail and needs stirring after
re-heating in a warm area before use. To keep the good quality we
recommend Hold Barrier always to be stored at temperature above 1°C.
Note:
Only use fresh water when mixing water with Hold Barrier • Never use Hold
Barrier as a concentrate. • To avoid foaming, always fill in the fresh water first. •
The Hold Barrier . • One 25 liters pail of Hold Barrier can cover an area of
about 750 to 1500 square meters when diluted. • When loading Sulphur, apply
a higher concentrated solution on the tank top. For long voyages or if the
Sulphur is exposed to humidity/water we recommend to apply lime coating on
the tank top.
